Damn Mac's dot-underscore (AppleDot) problem

I encountered this problem when using a Ubuntu share that was mounted with Finder. It makes '._'-copies of every file in the tree and if you're not careful enough, they end up in your version control, too.

find . -iname '._*' -exec rm -rf {} \; did the trick for me. (And adding a '._*'-pattern to .hgignore file.)

Testaan Billingsiä tuntikirjanpidon pitämiseen. Alkuvaikutelma erityisesti menubarin ajastimesta on hyvä, mutta ohjelma on selkeästi paljon monimutkaisempi kuin tarvitsisin.

Hyvä esimerkki OS X:n Aquan surkeudesta. Muut ikkunointijärjestelmät (mikä tahansa Linux tai windows) ovat osanneet tällaiset perusasiat jo 90-luvulla.

Sivulta löytyy lyhyt shell-skripti, joka ilmeisesti disabloi mäkin omat USB-ajurit. Homma toimi Virtual PC:n kanssa niin, että pystyin paitsi käyttämään (huippupaskaa) PC-suitea, myös päivittämään uuden N95-luurini firmwaren. Ei huono.

PS. Nokia: haista paska.
