I wanted to control iTunes with my (non-Jailbraked) iPod touch, so I wrote a little Django application which can be accessed via wlan.

The (very simple) program uses Python bindings to Apples little-known ScriptingBridge and controls iTunes via native API-calls.

I'd really like a slider control for volume, but it turned out to be quite hard to implement with the touch interface. There's still much room for improvements, but the basics work -- now I can turn the music on and off via the iPod!
